Hometown: Cloverdale, VA

Education: BS in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech and PE Teaching License from Regent University

Family: Travis and I married in 2017 and have been blessed with three sweet girls, Hannah, Abigail, and Debbie Sue, all named for women of the Bible who inspire us in different ways.

Background: I was a PE teacher and Women’s Soccer Coach at Patrick Henry High School for several years before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom after our girls were born. I’m also a Level 2 CrossFit Coach and have been coaching CrossFit classes for 11 years. I’ve been attending Orchard Hills Church for over 16 years, and it’s also where Travis and I were married!

My Passion at Orchard Hills: I love helping people, including children, to see their purpose and identity in Jesus.

Something not many people would know about me: A friend and I once had a podcast about Jesus and fitness. It was so fun!

Favorite Illustration of Biblical Truth: I have SO many favorites, but if I must narrow it down, I’d have to look to Romans 12. It’s probably my favorite chapter in the whole Bible. It’s so full of practical wisdom I can apply to almost every part of my life. But it also offers this illustration of how we are “one body.” Romans 12:4 says, “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of another.” We were all made with varying gifts that are so important for the body of Christ. We all have purpose and we all suffer in one part of the body is missing.
