INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the 2026 Orchard Hills Student Ministry Summer Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic! This is an incredible opportunity to serve alongside our ministry partner, Pathway Dominicana, as we minister to families and individuals in rural sugar cane villages (Bateyes) outside San Pedro De Macorís. Our team will engage in a diverse range of activities, from food distribution to kids ministry, construction projects, and relational ministry with the local churches and translators. There's something for everyone to get excited about!
TRAVEL DETAILS
Accommodations: We will stay at Hodelpa Garden Suites in Juan Dolio, near San Pedro De Macorís. You can Google the hotel for a better idea of the accommodations.
Flights: We will be flying into Santo Domingo (SDQ) Airport.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
• Saturday, July 11 – Depart US / Arrive in DR
• Sunday, July 12 – Attend church and prepare for the week
• Monday, July 13- Thursday, July 16 – Ministry Days
• Friday, July 17 – Visit Catalina Island
• Saturday, July 18 – Depart for the US
APPLICATION PROCESS
Steps to Apply: Deadline February 28
1. Parent/Guardian Confirmation Email:
- A confirmation email must be sent to Kevin@orchardhillschurch.org from a parent or guardian (students may send emails to Kevin and the Parent).
The email must include:
Participant’s full name (as shown on their passport or the name they are applying with for their passport)
Name, email, address, date of birth, and phone number
This step is required even if the participant has been on a trip with us before.
2. $100 Deposit Due by February 28, 2025.
FINANCIAL & FUNDRAISING DETAILS
Total Cost (Estimated): $2,200 per person
75% ($1,650) due by June 23, 2026
Payment Plan:
February 28 – $100 (Deposit Due)
March 31 – $400 Due (Apply support letter donations!)
April 30 – $400 Due (Apply Kettle Corn fundraiser earnings!)
May 30 – $400 Due
June 23 – $400 Due (Final payment before TNT Fireworks fundraiser!)
Remaining Balance - $500 (can be earned through the TNT Fireworks Fundraiser or paid before departure)
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
1. Kettle Corn Fundraiser (Sponsored by Tinker Mountain Kettle Corn)
- Selling Period: March 9 – March 29
- Kettle Corn Ready for Pickup: Week of April 12
- Profit: We earn 60% of each bag sold
2. TNT Fireworks Tent Fundraiser
- Dates: June 23 – July 4
- Earnings: Estimated $8-$10 per hour

PRAYER NEEDS
• Pray for the ministry of Pathway Dominicana and Dio Cochrane as he works alongside the churches in gospel ministry.
• Pray for the churches and church leaders serving in the villages with limited resources.
• Pray for our team, that participants will be committed to ministry and that God will prepare us to share the gospel boldly.
• Pray for financial provision, that generous supporters will partner with us in prayer and giving.
